Students are asked to help deal with Yanukovych’s beer

As the press service of the Kharkiv Students’ Union, members of the organization today sent a letter to President Viktor Yanukovych with a request to draw attention to the extent of propaganda in Ukraine Beer and assess the seriousness of beer alcohol among young people.

“Unfortunately, today, a bottle of beer and a cigarette in the hands of a young mother in the playground and even the teenagers in the schoolyard has become the norm. Drinking beer and soft drinks in advertising related to success in life, health, and pleasure - for this use in filming the young and athletes “- note the union activists, transmit more.

“With many of his friends, we see that the beer - it is not success in life, and a path into the abyss, mangled fate, no future. Many of them can no longer play sports, do not go to school, have lost health. Such a price the youth alcohol beer ! - Inform students of Viktor Yanukovych.

“Blamed everything - the rapid growth promoting beer on all advertising media, especially on television,” - say students. They told the president that more than a year carried out an anti-propaganda disastrous beer “standards” among young people, have repeatedly appealed to the producers of beer with a request to voluntarily reduce the promotion of their products. As stated in the letter, the last students left unanswered, which forced to take decisive action, for example - blocking brewery in Kharkov. However, the letter said, the problem is impossible without the intervention at the state level.

Students were asked to contribute to the President banned the use of images of youth athletes in the advertising of alcohol, particularly beer, as well as the limitation of such advertising and marketing in general.

Such letters students sent to the Prime Minister, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada and every people’s deputy.
