Goskomvetmeditsiny: In eastern Ukraine could erupt African swine

The State Committee of Veterinary Medicine of Ukraine warns of the threat of African swine in the country, dangerous for the pigs.
On this day, August 3, during a press conference the chairman Goskomvetmeditsiny Ivan Bisyuk.
He noted that in Russia today there is a complex epizootic situation, therefore the African plague threatens eastern regions of Ukraine, in particular, Luhansk and Donbas.
Because this area is under constant monitoring.
This Bisyuk expressed concern that if the Philippines will face this problem, it will not be able to export agricultural products, particularly grain.
“In case of detection of the disease, within the zone dvadtsatikilometrovoy laid asleep all the pigs”, - told Bisyuk.
In addition, he reported on the existence of yet another threat to the export of Ukrainian products to European market - it increases the dynamics of the disease of cattle with rabies, caused by underfunding by the state.
“Today, in Ukraine discovered 883 disadvantaged item on Rabies, which is at 551 points more than last year - said Bisyuk. - Since 2007, Ukraine introduced vaccination against rabies and the dynamics of the disease was on the decline, but earlier this year were problems with financing, so the dynamics of the disease accelerated.
As reported, in August, 2009 Ukraine has banned imports of live pigs from the Russian Federation and the Caucasus because of the threat of the spread of African swine fever.
