Yushchenko was disappointed in the Maidan-2004

Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko said that his disappointment Maidan as great as the disappointment in the “Orange Revolution” of ordinary Ukrainians.
“I was very naive, starting with the fact that I thought that people who stood behind me on the Maidan, will think as I move them from the Maidan in the chair, and we will get a second breakthrough. Unfortunately, no,” - noted Ukrainian head of state, which cites UNIAN. According to him, to be on Independence - is one thing, to be a professional - something quite different. “In order to form a team, do not want Maydan, and year (in office) President, and not two” - he said, adding that the problem is the formation of the Ukrainian state. “Believe me, not yet tested in battle, it is difficult to evaluate through the Maidan other politicians. My frustration is the same as yours. Did I do not want us to be better, do not I went through the whole team” - also said Yushchenko.

Recall, November 22, Ukraine celebrating the Day of Freedom - in honor of the beginning of the “orange revolution”, this date is determined by decree of President Viktor Yushchenko in 2005 as “a symbol of approval in the Ukraine the ideals of freedom and democracy.” Today the president of Ukraine in the framework of the celebration will deliver a speech and present state awards on Independence Square in the evening the capital will be a large-scale music concerts.
